How to build your own cat tree?
Cat trees are kind of spendy, but it would be nice to have one. One of my cats like the cat scratcher that is like a rope, and my other cat likes carpet. Where could I get some supplies for some wood projects and perhaps get small carpet samples?
For carpet, check with your local store that sells carpet and check the dumpster out back for scraps. Or ask for some scraps.
The rope you can buy at any hardware store.
Most of those cat trees are made of MDF (medium density fiberboard) which is inexpensive and you can get that at any Home Depot etc. Get 3/4″ and glue and screw it together and cover with carpet scraps.
