How to introduce a SMALL dog to TWO resident cats?

I have two cats…. my male cat is pretty much king of the house and dominant over the smaller girl. I am thinking about adopting a mini daschund but I am worried my male cat might bully the smaller pup. How would I go about making my cat comfortable and preventing the new pup from being bullied?

Get the dog and see what happens in a day or two…you never know if they will get along…..if they get along, great! if they dont, go to your library and check out some books about adopting a new puppy…..when we got our dog, we had a cat, but they get along pretty good now…give it a shot!
