my female cat has a knot the size of a marble on her stitches is this normal?
we had our 4 month old female cat spayed last fri. she has a knot about the size of a marble at the stitches? i was wondering if this is normal?
Yes, it is normal…they sometimes are allergic to the stitches but it will go away. The only thing the vet will do is give you antibiotics in case of infection.

Many people and some veterinarians call this an abscess, but it is not infected! Suture reactions are sterile and do not require antibiotic treatment.
